Preorder is not one promise
A preorder label usually says that the product has not reached its sale date and the merchant is accepting some form of order. It does not, by itself, prove allocation, delivery on release day, or the final shipping date. Those depend on the merchant's terms and the exact listing.
- Release date: the product's planned market date
- Order status: whether the merchant accepts an order
- Allocation: whether a unit is secured
- Dispatch estimate: when the merchant expects to ship
- Payment timing: immediate, authorization, or later charge
Edition identity comes first
Before interpreting stock language, match the edition using JAN/EAN, catalog number, platform, maker, and included bonuses. Store-exclusive extras can turn an apparently matching title into a different offer. A bonus should be treated as verified only when the listing explicitly includes it.
